RE: 1.5 Install and the Networks table

Oh, wow. If we had an automatic import feature on NorthStar...I
currently am just about to get our network staff to start entering in a
/18 and two /19's worth of data. ;)

Hitesh? Thoughts? :)

Subject: 1.5 Install and the Networks table

Hi all,

Hitesh, I want to second Rob Mitzel's comment from a prior post. I've
been watching the software progression for a little while as well. And I
must say that I'm very impressed! I'm new to PostgreSQL so this is
probably a very simple problem. I have a spreadsheet with several
hundred netblocks that are allocated to different devices. What I'm
trying to do is find a way to do a mass import of this data. I've tried
doing several manual inserts of the data into the 'networks' table but
it is refusing it since the 'network' field is empty.

I can supply all of the other data for the relevant fields but I am not
familiar enough with Postgres to understand what hash is being used to
generate the 'network' column. Any advice or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated!
